Coastal Crest CPA
A boutique CPA firm for coastal businesses & their owners

The full CPA relationship,
on one steady horizon.

Coastal Crest CPA is a boutique firm serving established businesses and their owners doing $1M–$25M a year. Compliance, tax planning, strategy and growth, financial planning, and record management — all in one relationship, led by a licensed CPA who knows your business by name.

Licensed in Tennessee. Serving business owners across the Southeast and nationwide.

Five practice areas. One firm.

Most firms sell you compliance and hope you don't ask for anything else. We deliver the full picture of what a serious business owner actually needs from a CPA — every year, in writing.

01

Compliance & tax preparation

Federal and state returns for the business and the owner. Sales tax, payroll tax, 1099s, franchise and excise. Filed on time and signed by a licensed CPA.

02

Tax planning

Quarterly projections, entity elections, comp mix, retirement, depreciation, and multi-state nexus. Decisions made before December 31 — not after.

03

Strategy & growth

Pricing, margin, hiring plans, capex, and financing decisions modeled against your actual numbers. Executive-summary conversations with the CPA who signs your return.

04

Financial planning

Owner cash-flow, retirement modeling, insurance review, estate coordination, and exit planning. Fee-only — no products sold. Coordinated with your attorney and advisor.

05

Record management

Monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations, chart-of-accounts cleanup, and a secure client portal. Clean numbers year-round — not a scramble in February.

How the first year works

Every engagement starts with a written baseline of your business and personal financial picture. From there, we run one steady rhythm all year — planning ahead of the calendar, executing against it, and filing the return that reflects it.

01 · Onboarding

Full-picture intake

We review two years of returns, current books, entity structure, comp and retirement setup, and personal financial position. Read before the first call.

02 · Written plan

Annual strategy document

A written plan covering compliance calendar, tax planning moves, strategy priorities, financial planning gaps, and record-management fixes for the year ahead.

03 · Quarterly rhythm

Quarterly reviews

Ninety minutes each quarter to update projections, review results, and make the tax and growth decisions that need to happen before year-end.

04 · Filing season

Returns & recap

Returns prepared, reviewed, and filed by the CPA who built the plan. Followed by a year-end recap that becomes the baseline for the next year.

Who we work with

  • Established businesses at $1M–$25M in revenue
  • The owners of those businesses — personal returns, planning, and financial life included
  • S-corps, partnerships, and LLCs taxed as either
  • Multi-entity, multi-state, and holding-company structures
  • Real estate, construction, professional services, healthcare, hospitality
  • Owners preparing for a sale, succession, or exit in the next 2–10 years

Who we're not for

  • Buyers shopping on price alone
  • Businesses under $1M in revenue
  • W-2 filers with no business or investment complexity
  • Owners who want a preparer, not a partner
  • Anyone expecting an hourly billing arrangement
  • Clients unwilling to share full financial visibility

Transparent pricing

Fixed annual fees, billed quarterly. No hourly bills, no product commissions, no surprise invoices. Every engagement includes all five practice areas — the price varies with complexity, not with how much of our attention you get.

Starter

$15,000 / year

Business + owner returns, quarterly planning, annual written strategy, unlimited email.

Best fit: single-entity S-corp or partnership, one state, $1M–$5M revenue, straightforward owner situation.

Established

$22,500–$32,500 / year

Everything in Starter, plus multi-state filings, real-estate holdings, more sophisticated planning.

Best fit: 2–3 entities, multi-state, $5M–$15M revenue, retirement/estate planning underway.

Complex

$40,000+ / year

Everything in Established, plus holding structures, exit planning, active M&A, and family-office coordination.

Best fit: holding-cos, 4+ entities, $15M–$25M revenue, sale or succession in 2–5 years.

Optional add-ons

Monthly bookkeeping — $650–$1,800/month depending on transaction volume and account structure.

Additional entities — $2,400–$4,800 per entity per year, scoped to complexity.

Cost segregation studies — quoted per project, coordinated with a licensed engineering partner.

All add-ons priced up front. Nothing gets added to your bill without a signed change order.

Pays for itself in year one

If the strategies we deliver don't produce documented tax or cash-flow value equal to at least our annual fee within 12 months, we extend the following year at half price. Real accountability, in writing. Ask any hourly advisor to make the same promise.

What the annual strategy covers

A written document, not a slide deck. Delivered every year and updated every quarter. Every recommendation is tied to a line on your return, a quantified tax or cash-flow impact, and a specific implementation window.

  • Entity-structure analysis (S-corp election, holding-co, series LLC)
  • Owner comp & retirement modeling (SEP, solo-401k, defined benefit)
  • Depreciation strategy (§179, bonus, cost segregation)
  • Multi-state nexus & sales-tax review
  • Personal financial plan, estate coordination, exit basis
  • 12-month execution calendar tied to your return

Common questions

Are you a full-service CPA firm?

Yes. Coastal Crest handles compliance, tax planning, strategy and growth advisory, financial planning, and record management under one roof. Your business return, your personal return, quarterly planning, cash-flow modeling, and monthly bookkeeping if you want it — all with the same CPA.

Do you also handle my personal return and financial planning?

Yes. The owner's personal return, retirement, estate coordination, and financial planning are part of the standard engagement. We treat the business and its owner as one financial picture, because that's how the IRS treats them.

Can I keep my current bookkeeper?

Absolutely. We work with your existing bookkeeper, take over the bookkeeping ourselves, or coordinate a hybrid — whichever gives you clean, tax-ready records with the least friction.

Do you sell investment products or insurance?

No. Coastal Crest is fee-only. If your plan calls for investment products, insurance, or 401(k) administration, we coordinate with independent licensed specialists who bill separately — no kickbacks, no commissions.

What does an engagement cost?

Full pricing is published on this page. Engagements start at $15,000/year (Starter), $22,500–$32,500/year (Established), and $40,000+/year (Complex) depending on entities, states, and the owner's personal complexity. Fixed annual fee, billed quarterly. No hourly bills, no surprise invoices.

Where do you operate?

Licensed in Tennessee. Engagements are typically remote with in-person options for local clients. We serve owners across the Southeast and nationwide, including multi-state filers.
